Oliver, made up of Vaughn “U-Tern” Oliver and Oliver “Oligee” Goldstein, are quite possibly the most consistent remix team out right now. All Night has been a set staple of mine for the last year or so…no different from their brand new remix of Sneaky Sound System’s Big. David Berrie

A fellow NYC DJ I’ve been paying attention to for a while is David Berrie. On top of him being a regular selection for some of the best bookings in the city, he’s now made a name for himself internationally, putting out both remixes/originals releases for labels like Ultra Records. In fact, a few of them have become staples to my sets over the last couple months…including these two tracks, his original, Step Up as well as his remix of Adele’s smash hit, Rolling In The Deep (speaking of that, check this out). Oh hai! This post is about me …check out these two mashup tracks I released over the summer. The first, Good Levels has far and above beaten my Soundcloud record, bringing in over 7000 streams to date. It features samples of Avicii, Superskank and System Of A Down. The second, Love Collision, I just recently put out before my Burning Man shows featuring samples of Florence & The Machine, Afrojack, Leona Lewis, and Mark Knight. You’ve heard Starsmith’s work a few times on this site, even though I haven’t personally wrote about him. He was one of the main producers of Ellie Goulding’s just insane album, Lights, he’s featured on my mix, Nowism as well as the remixes I’ve posted of his for Marina & The Diamonds & Lady Gaga. Now, I’ve got an amazing original of his for you called Lesson One and what the heck, while we’re on the pop tip I’ll go ahead and put up another remix, this time of Far East Movement’s Rocketeer. Whoooooa, where did Feed Me come from? Never heard of him a month ago, and now he’s dominating the blogosphere. Don’t know much, other than he’s got a cool looking little character for himself, he’s from London and his music is awesome. A new artist you should all get familiar with is Shook. He’s been steadily putting out awesome electro-funk remixes for the last year or so and recently put out a personal EP called The Glow. Lemâitre

MMMMMM….yummmy music. That’s what comes to my mind when listening to Lemâitre, out of Oslo, Norway. Hadn’t looked further into them after I found their track, The Friendly Sound, back in November of last year, but glad I recently did due to a reco from my buddy Evan. Their production is too clean, not in the sense of it being basic, whatsoever….more in the fact that each sound element seems to be perfectly placed within the composition. Can’t wait to hear more from these guys, but for now, here’s two tracks off their EP; Blue Shift, and 1:18. Last Thursday, I was fortunate enough to have been flown up to Toronto, Ontario to the DJ the launch for a new clothing line, called Ferknot. It’s actually pretty awesome…you pick a collection shirt, take your measurements as instructed by their online guide, and boom, in two weeks you’ve got a great looking, perfect fitting shirt. Anyway, for those who weren’t in attendance, no need to be too upset as I recorded a good portion of my live set for all of your enjoyment. Recently, I’ve been paying a lot more attention to minimal/tech/deep house and one artist that keeps impressing me is Nicolas Jaar. After listening to his music for the first time (headphones please) you can understand why this 19 year old has been hailed as “one of the most talented minds dance music is about to see develop.” Check out these two tracks, an original called Variations and a remix of No Regular Play’s Owe Me. of his and if you really like, head over to his Facebook and Soundcloud (has over 50 tracks posted!!).

Zeds Dead

If you’re into Dubstep, I’d be seriously surprised if you haven’t heard of Zeds Dead yet. Based out of Toronto, the duo, made up of DC and Hooks, are really progressing the genre. Their unique sounds and unexpected remixes have been what made them stick out for me. Check out this new electro remix of Dragonette’s Volcano, as well as their remix of The Moody Blues’ Nights In White Satin, which I liked so much, I included it on my most recent mix, Sweet Dreams (Download here, Stream Here). I don’t know a ton about Mitch LJ, other than he’s from the south of France, is currently based in NYC, and his music is dope. He’s also been picking up some serious gigs recently, including LIV in Miami and the Saturday residency at Provocateur….so you know his live’s on point as well. Keep the young prodigies comin!! First, it was Madeon, out of France, and now I’ve got a new one for you, this time stateside. Christoph Andersson, out of New Orleans, sent me eleven tracks and I’ve had serious trouble picking which ones I liked best. He’s just starting to get out there exposure wise, and if his future productions are anything like the two tracks that I chose, Metropol & Tuxedero, I’m sure we’ll be seeing much more of him to come. Aside from his coveted NYC club residencies, multiple tours through Japan, and producing remixes for the likes of Lady Gaga, Major Lazer, and Gyptian, Richie Beretta would like to make it known that out of all the people in his high school, he was voted most likely to have a pizza party! All joking aside though, Richie is a serious producer. Whoa. Funny how some groups can send you back in time even if the music is new. Case and point, Hurts. A new group out of the UK, they’re producing music that sends me back to when my dad was playing me Men Without Hats albums back when I was a kid.
